H1 is a Société à Responsabilité Limitée à associé Unique (SARLU), NIF: 3001865125, STAT number: 56101 12 2014 0 01553, registered with the Trade and Companies Register of Antsirabe under number 2014 B 00046, with its registered office at Lot II L 81 C Bis Ankorondrano, Madagascar (hereinafter “H1”, “we” or “us”).

H1 publishes and operates the website https://www.hotelh1-madagascar.com (the “Site”), which allows guests to discover our hotels, book stays, manage reservations, and create a customer account.

2. What personal data we collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact details (name, email address, phone number, country);
  • Account and authentication data (login credentials, verification codes);
  • Reservation and stay data (dates, hotel, occupancy, preferences, history);
  • Payment-related information needed to process a booking (card or Mobile Money details are handled by our payment partners; we do not store full card numbers on our servers);
  • Newsletter and marketing preferences;
  • Technical data useful for the Site to work securely (for example connection logs and security tokens).

3. Why we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • Process and manage reservations and related customer service;
  • Create and operate your customer account / portal;
  • Send transactional messages (booking confirmations, reminders, account verification);
  • Send newsletters, offers, and marketing communications when you have opted in, or as described in section 4 for contacts collected earlier;
  • Improve our services, prevent fraud, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

4. Contacts collected before this policy / marketing system

Some email addresses and contact details were collected earlier in the course of hotel stays, reservations, or customer relationships, before this Privacy Policy was published and/or before our newsletter and marketing tools were put in place.

Unless you have unsubscribed or asked us to stop, we may continue to use those contact details to communicate with you about your stays and our hotels, and where relevant to send promotional or newsletter messages related to Hôtel H1.

You can object at any time by unsubscribing when a message offers that option, or by writing to contact@hotelh1-madagascar.com. We will stop promotional/newsletter use of your email once your request is processed.

5. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above: for example for the life of your account, for the duration needed to manage reservations and after-sales requests, and for the retention periods required by applicable accounting or legal rules. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion of that processing.

6. Who receives your data

Data may be processed by authorized H1 staff and by trusted service providers acting on our instructions (hosting, email delivery, payment providers, marketing tools). We do not sell your personal data.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and keep it confidential.

8. Your choices and rights
